Suzanne has over 20 years’ experience in nonprofit ministry to communities in need. Most recently, in 2012, she led a small, dedicated crew in founding a maternity home (complete with on-site education and social enterprise job-training programs) for mothers in critical situations.
Once faced with a critical situation herself, Suzanne knows what your ministry clients face—and what will and will not help them.
Over 150 mothers housed and over 600 served through non-residential services. Internationally recognized speaker and trainer, Podcast host, Author of 9 books on ministry startup and trauma-informed care, Suzanne and her team have trained hundreds of organizations to implement practical tools to serve "the least of these" more effectively.
She has helped hundreds of ministry leaders understand the complex issues of trauma, poverty and addiction. Now they are serving their communities more effectively than ever before.

Lisa Holmes, MACS, CFTP, CTII
Expert Trainer & Speaker
Director of Client Services for Foundation House Ministries, Lisa oversees all aspects of client care, including housing, case management, court advocacy, job training, volunteer management, and sustainable stability.
Lisa is a nationally recognized speaker and trainer in practical response to addiction, trauma, mental health, and parenting while in recovery. She is passionate about training and support for front-line and live-in staff: secondary trauma, self-care, and reducing burnout.
Her Masters is in Christian Studies from Bryan College, Dayton, TN.
